Getting to Swindon by train is quick
and easy - only one hour from London Paddington Station. Also
high-speed services operate from Bath, Bristol, Reading and
Cardiff. Branch line trains run from Oxford, Cheltenham and
Gloucester. Travelling by train in Britain is generally more
expensive than travelling by coach.

and departures are at the main Bus Station on Manchester Road.
There's also a rail/air link express train between Heathrow
Airport and Reading Rail Station. From Victoria Coach Station
in London, it takes about 2 hours and from Heathrow Central
Bus Station only about 1.5 hours to get to Swindon.
Stagecoach
offer a rival service called Megabus.

Swindon is bordered by the one of
the UK's major road links, the M4 motorway. Joining Bristol,
Swindon, Heathrow and London makes Swindon very easy to get
to by car. Junction
15 provides the best access to the town centre. The main
road A419 also runs east of the town and is a good link when
travelling north to Birmingham.
The
Automobile Association (AA) offers the latest travel
news for drivers, as well as a useful route
planner facility on their website.
By

London Heathrow,
Bristol and Cardiff
airports are all within easy reach of Swindon. However with
the price reductions offered by low-cost airlines such as
Ryanair, Easyjet
and bmi it may be worth
travelling from airports further away (Standsted,
Luton) and enduring a
longer coach
to maximise your savings.
